How Much Does Landscaping Cost?

This question is nearly impossible to answer without actually assessing the job site as part of the quotation process.

The cost to turn landscaping ideas into reality depends on so many different factors such as:
  • job type and size
  • prep work needed
  • equipment needed (and is there access to the jobsite for the equipment)
  • supplies required
  • time constraints
  • etc.

We offer free, no obligation quotes so please don't hesitate to reach out even if you're just looking for some information.

Is It Worth It To Hire A Landscaper?

Well, our opinion might be slightly biased but...

If you want a landscaping job done correctly so that it looks great, functions properly and lasts for a very long time with minimal upkeep, then yes, hiring a professional landscaping company is well worth the money.

Of course it's possible for a homeowner to do the job themselves, but, there are a lot of details that go into any type of landscaping work that the average homeowner doesn't know about or understand. If these details aren't considered, the end result could suffer.

Professional landscaping companies have the tools, knowledge and experience to turn you dreams into reality.

How Do You Plan Out A Landscaping Project

Landscaping projects require a large amount of planning and preparation before the actual physical work even starts.

The first step is to get an idea of what you want the finished product to look like. You may already have a picture in your mind, you can search the internet for ideas, you can visit open houses in your city to see what other people have done, or you can work with a professional landscape designer.

Then, once you have a good idea of what you want, you'll meet with a professional landscaper (Winnipeg Land & Snow for example) and discuss your project with them. They can help you round out your plan because some of your ideas might not be feasible based on the climate we have here in Manitoba. For example, some plants are very difficult to support in our climate. Also, some materials just don't stand up to our winters.

Once you're happy with it, you move forward with getting an accurate estimate. This step includes a site visit (if one hasn't been done already during the planning stage) so that the Landscaping company can assess the location to determine how much work will be involved and therefore create a quote for the work.

Once everything looks good to you, the physical work can start and before you know it, your property looks just like the picture you had in your mind.

Of course you can try to tackle this process on your own but, as mentioned in the above FAQ, there are a lot of details involved in landscaping that most home owners don't even know about.
